Not the best day in Gaborone with BTCL ($20k) and Turnstar ($11k) the only two counters worth mentioning taking up the lion’s share of the market.
A relatively quiet day after the elections with KNCB ($825k) and SAFCOM ($510k) accounting for 52% and 32% of turnover respectively. Foreign participation was up to 72% from 43%.
Another impressive day in Port Louis thanks to CIEL (+1.4%, Rs7.24), which accounted for 80% of the total market turnover. MCBG (+0.4%, Rs271.75) saw an intra-day high of Rs274.75.
Another positive day in Nigeria as all indices closed higher except the industrials. Nestle ($4.96m) and NB ($4.87m) were the most active names, both accounting for a total of 60% of market turnover.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Things slowed down in Zimbabwe today with some small activity in Econet (42.21c, $49k), PPC (71.00c, $53k) and Seed Co (148.00c, $40k) the only names worth mentioning, but nothing worth writing home about.
