Botswana: DCI -0.28%, USD 1.5m
Not a bad day in Gaborone with FNBB ($1.45m) being the lion’s share of the market and BIHL ($59k) the only counters worth mentioning on the bourse.
Kenya: NSE 20 +0.15%, USD 9.63m
Action on the Nairobi bourse today was split across a number of different counters with these names seeing some solid crosses. The major action went through in Equity (unch, KES43.00) with the bank bearing witness to multiple crosses with the release of half year results early this morning. The banks also saw some decent volumes with KNCB closing at KES44.75 (+1.13%) being extremely strong. EABL dropped by 0.37% to KES267.00, Kengen -0.54% to KES9.20 and Kenya Power up 2.82% at KES10.95 all on high volumes. The rest of the market was quiet as foreign investors doing the bulk selling with 76.3% of total market turnover.
Mauritius: Semdex +0.08%, USD 1.25m
An above average day in Port Louis today seeing two big crosses in MCBG (-0.4%, Rs267.00) once again leading and total volume in the stock amounting to $235k. Astoria (-11%, Rs0.89) had a good day after starting the week on a slight low. CIEL (-0.5%, Rs7.24) with a cross of 138k on a total volume of 298.4k shares traded in the name.
Nigeria: ASI +1.03%, USD 9.92m
Things slowed down rather drastically on the Nigerian bourse today with some activity in Nestle (+1.68&, $3.4m), GTB (+0.02%, $1.8m) and Guiness (-0.59%, $985k) the only names worth mentioning. Banking stocks failing to impress with the sector closing -1.03% lower. Consumers (+0.28%) closed the day higher thanks to Nascon (+3.69%).

Things slowed down in Zimbabwe today with some small activity in Old Mutual (401.32c, $100k) and Seedco (152.75c, $93k) the only names worth mentioning, but nothing worth mentioning.
