Nothing to report from Botswana.
Once again we witnessed just a couple of crosses liven up a mostly dull session. The major action went through in KNCB (unch, KES27.00) with foreign participants heavily skewed to the buy side. There was also a nice cross in BMBC (+5.3%, KES160.00) while the rest of the market was rather dull.
A nice cross in SBMH (unch, Rs0.70) was the major highlight today in Port Louis. There was also some decent action in Ciel (-30bps, Rs5.96) and to a lesser extent MCBG (-40bps, Rs222.00).
The dismal sentiment continues unabated in Nigeria. Once again we saw no clear direction in either the banks (+68bps) or the consumers (-57bps) as activities remain inadequate. The only action today was in GTB (+63bps, N24.00) which accounted for about half the total market turnover.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Aggressive local buying continues to push the index higher in Harare although activity was more muted today.
