Nothing much to report yet again from Nairobi. The bulk of the action took place in the banks today with both KNCB (-1.2%, KES42.00) and Equity Bank (-60bps, KES41.25) ending the day soft. The rest of the market was really quiet.
A very slow day in Port Louis with some small volume in MCBG (22k shares) the only name worth mentioning.
Another day of local crossing dominating a dull market. Banks closed marginally in the green with the bulk of the action taking place in GTB (-21bps, N24.00) while we saw some local crosses go through in Access Bank (+20bps, N5.00). Consumers fell by 97bps although activity in the sector was muted. There was also some action yet again in Wapco (-49bps, N98.50). We are now fully into results season with results out in names like NB, GTB and Guinness.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another shocking day in Harare with value traded amounting to a paltry $72k.
