Not a bad day in terms of activity in Gaborone thanks to Choppies and Engen as 1.6m shares and 400k shares traded in the names respectively.
A much more muted session today in Nairobi as we didn’t see many crosses going through. Foreign participation was also much reduced. The major action went through in KNCB (+90bps, KES27.00) and Safcom (unch, KES19.00). The rest of the market was dull.
A very impressive day thanks once again to MCBG as 358k shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market remains quiet.
Another “nothing” day in Nigeria. There was no clear direction in either banks (+23bps) or consumers (-97bps) while volumes remain woeful.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing to report from Harare as the lack of interest continues.
