Not the best of days in Gaborone with Barclays ($23k) being 39% of the market while BTCL ($21k) accounting for 35% of todays turnover.
The positive run in Kenya came to a halt as profit takers participated more in the market today. Safcom dominated the action on the day accounting for 52% of the turnover as it dropped 5.4%. Foreign participation on the day reduced from 51% to 47%.
The Semdex strengthened with Rs121.8m changing hands geared towards MCBG which declined 0.2% trading at Rs275.00 accounting for 43% of total market turnover,38% of which was foreign purchasing and 46% was foreign sales. SBM was at Rs7.60 retreating 0.5%, NMH traded at Rs25.00 unchaged and MUA followed suit at Rs59.00.
Another positive day dominated by block trades in Zenith ($6.2m), UBA ($3.1m), Access ($2.7m) and Guaranty ($1.5m). All indices except the Industrials closed higher on the day.

A semi decent day, relatively speaking, in Harare with strong selling pressure amid scattered purchasing in selected stocks. The usual suspects dominating proceedings on the bourse seeing Delta (1.2503c, $1.3m) and Econet (86.00c, $726k) with the likes of PPC (189.79c, $1.9m) joining the fray accounting for 32% of total market turnover.
