Local crossing in Sefalana (1330t) and Letshego (249t) were the main focal points today.
For most of the day absolutely nothing happened. The only activity were 2 crosses in Equity Bank (+60bps, KES39.25) and KNCB (-70bps, KES33.50) while Safcom (-60bps, KES17.45)witnessed some mild trading. The rest of the market was eerily quiet.
Activity was heavily dominated by MCBG (unch, Rs211.00) with hardly anything else of note to report.
As expected with the US out today we saw an absolutely woeful day of trading in Lagos. There was a clear lack of interest across the board as both banks (-1.08%) and consumers (-93bps) slipped lower. There was a cross in Wapco (-4.29%, N67.00) while they rest of the market was dead. In other news, the CBN dissolved the entire Skye Bank board and management amid concerns over capital adequacy.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another dull start to the week in Harare with some activity in Delta ($311k) the only name worth mentioning.
