A better day in Gaborone, but still nothing to write home about.
Activity slowed down rather drastically today with some small action in MCBG (58k shares) the only name showing any form of life.
Nothing to get too overly excited about in Lagos today with a few crosses in GTB ($2.7m), Zenith ($2.1m), Seplat ($1.7m), UBA ($1.6m) and DangCem ($1.3m) driving proceedings. Banking stocks managed to rebound after yeserday's sell-off with the sector closing +1.70% higher thanks to UBA (+4.93%) and Zenith (+2.90%). Consumers closed the day +2.54% higher on low volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some activity in Old Mutual ($588k) the only name worth mentioning on an otherwise dull day in Harare.
