Another reasonable day in Gaborone with some activity witnessed in Letshego (256t), RDCP (861t), Turnstar (201t) and Chobe (402t).
An absolutely dire end to the week in Nairobi with turnover falling to $2.6m as foreigners (17.6% of turnover) were all but absent. Centum was the top mover as the signaling effect of its contract win drove the investment firm 2.6% higher to touch a 52 week high of KES 58.50. Foreigners drove selling in Kenya-Re as 1.57m shares changed hands in the name.
A quiet end to the week in Port Louis. The Sem-7 rose by 43bps thanks particularly to NMH gained a solid 3.53% to Rs88.00. Also gaining were MCBG (+12bps, Rs207.75), Alteo (+84bps, Rs36) and Ciel (+29bps, Rs7.02). The only faller in the Sem-7 was Terra which closed down 96bps at Rs36.10.
Not much on the go in Lagos on the last trading day of the week with turnover amounting to $16.8m as Zenith ($2.76m), GTB ($2.2m) and NB ($1.63m) drove activity. Banks managed to close on the front foot with the Index gaining +1.55% thanks to ETI (+5.00%) after yesterday's announcement, FBNH (+3.45%) and GTB (+1.74%). Consumers (-0.54%) closed lower with Flour Mills (-4.92%) and Nestle (-1.161%) weighing on the sector.

The index continues to grind higher as a complete lack of supply permeates throughout most of the market. Econet rose sharply to 84.01c after a local broker pushed the price up to 84c while there was also some decent activity in Delta (138c), Mash (2.65c) and Seedco (97c).
