Another active day in Gaborone thanks to some nice crosses in Choppies at the 420t level.
The index slipped slightly thanks to some foreign selling. The main action took place in EABL (-40bps, KES274.00) and Safcom (-60bps, KES16.60). Outside of these two names the market was painfully quiet.
The bourse fell in Port Louis thanks to a fall in MCBG (-1%, Rs207.00). MCBG was also the lion’s share of the market turnover.
A couple of crosses once again dominated the session in Lagos. Banks endured a quiet session both in terms of volumes and direction. Consumers fell by 40bps and also saw the bulk of today’s action. The most active stocks were Guinness (unch, N123.00), Nestle (unch, N800.00) and Glaxosmi (unch, N35.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A chunky cross in Dawn today was the major highlight in another very dull session.
