Botswana: DCI unch, USD 5.96m

A very active day in Gaborone thanks to a number of crosses in various names. The major action took place in Sechaba (3000t), Sefalana (1380t), Choppies (425t), Letshego (290t) and Cresta (106t).

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.38%, USD 6.2m

A rather quiet end to the week in Nairobi with the index closing the day slightly lower. The bulk of the action went through in the 2 major banks. KNCB gained 60bps to KES40.00 while Equity Bank fell by 60bps to KES39.00. Safcom also saw some action (+60bps, KES16.70) while EABL closed up 40bps to KES275.00.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.12%, USD 700k

A quiet end to the week in Mauritius. The only decent activity went through in NMH (unch, Rs17.40) while all other names were quiet.

Nigeria: ASI -1.54%, USD 12.7m

A torrid end to the week in Lagos with the market falling on low volumes. Banks fell by 1.08% although the sector was incredibly quiet. The Consumers also took a whack as they fell by 1.21%. Some decent volumes were seen in Glaxo (unch, N35.00), NB (-2.36%, N115.99), Nestle (unch, N800.00) and Unilever (unch, N45.50).

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.11%, USD 876k

A rather uneventful day yet again in Zimbabwe as the index continues to drip lower. The main action took place today in Delta (71.3c).
