Another rather slow day in Gaborone as value traded amounted to a very dull USD 90k.
Local investors dominated the day in Nairobi with foreign activity rather light. The main trade today was a large cross in KNCB (local seller, foreign buyer) at KES 49.50 with the bank eventually closing up 1% at KES 49.25. Equity Bank also saw some foreign buying yet closed unchanged at KES 41.75. There was also a decent cross in SCAN (local buyer, foreign seller) while EABL and Safcom were both quiet.
Better day from an activity point of view in Port Louis as value traded amounted to USD 1.24m with most of the action centered around MCBG (29k shares), CIEL (855k shares), Alteo (118k shares) and SBM (3.65m shares).
After a dull start there was some crossing towards the close although it was still a much quieter day than normal in Lagos. Banks fell by 17bps with ETI (-2.67%, N16.40) the real outlier as it continues to witness profit taking. The rest of the banking sector was broadly unchanged with most of the action focused on GTB and Zenith. Consumers fell by 77bps with NB finally relenting from its bull run (-2.62%, N178.40). NB saw some chunky action as did Flourmills (-8bps, N77.50). Oando saw chunky trading again as the name gained 5.16% to N19.98.

A very slow day to close off the week in Harare as value traded amounted to USD 323k with 96k Econet traded while 31k Delta traded. The market closed the day higher with the Industrial Index gaining +0.87%.
