A much quieter day in Nairobi. Safcom saw some chunky volumes though with the name closing at KES 12.95 although was starting to look soft just before the close. Once again a number of bookovers increased volumes in Port Louis with a name like Alteo (-29bps, Rs34.40) really active. MCBG closed unchanged at Rs219.75 while SBM slipped by 95bps to Rs1.04.
Another very quiet start in Lagos although the activity did pick up slightly as the day progressed. There were a couple of crosses, as usual, in the likes of Nestle and Access with general market activity quiet. Banks were up 64bps for the day although performance was very mixed across the sector. Consumers lost -1.79% on the back of big selling NB(-4.97%, N170.11).
