Nothing to report from Gaborone.
Nothing especially exciting to report from the Nairobi bourse today. The market was heavily dominated by foreigners with particular attention paid to Equity Bank (unch, KES30.00) and Safcom (-50bps, KES19.80). Outside of these 2 names there was nothing much to write hom about except for some mild trading in EABL (-40bps, KES244.00) and Co-op Bank (unch, KES13.70).
An absolutely dire day in Port Louis with nothing to report.
It was all about the consumers today as the sector was witness to a couple of chunky crosses. The sector closed down 80bps with decent action traded in the likes of Nestle (-1.23%, N805.00), NB (-69bps, N144.00) and Unilever (unch, N48.00). The banking sector (+11bps) was rather quiet outside of GTB (+43bps, N23.10). The rest of the market was extremely quiet.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A very solid day in Harare from an activity point of view thanks to some action in CBZ ($472k), BAT ($385k) and Old Mutual ($319k) while the rest of the market was relatively quiet.
