Some small activity in Barclays and Choppies the only names worth mentioning as 218k shares and 288k shares traded in the names respectively.
Absolutely nothing to write home about in Nairobi. Please note the market is closed on Monday to celebrate Independence Day.
Nothing much to report from Port Louis with most of the big names very quiet. November monthly toursit arrivals increased +9.0%.
Some late crosses spiced up what was a painfully quiet end to the week. Banks (+53bps) and Consumers (+83bps) both ended the day marginally in the green. There was nothing exceptional to report from the banking sector while amongst the consumers the bulk of the action took place in NB (+2.08%, N145) and Nestle (unch, N810.00). There was also a chunky local cross in Mobil (-70bps, N305.00). Please note that the market will be closed on Monday the 12th of December.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another solid day to end the week in Harare thanks to some action in Seedco ($1m), Econet ($664k) and Delta ($180K).
