Nothing to report from Gaborone.
A couple of decent crosses in some of the large caps were the feature highlight’s of today’s session in Nairobi. Once again the most active stock was Safcom which fell by a further 50bps to KES18.90. There were also decent trades in the likes of Equity Bank (unch, KES30.00) and EABL (unch, KES238.00). We also some more mild trades in KNCB (-90bps, KES28.00) and Co-op Bank (+1.9%, KES13.60).
Some small activity in MCBG and NMH drove proceedings today as 49k shares and 502k shares changed hands in the names respectively.
There were a couple of crosses in a couple of names throughout the day that brought some respectability to the bourse today. The index closed marginally positive mostly thanks to the Banks which rose by 57bps. However, the sector was mostly quiet outside of GTB (+1.97%, N23.80). Consumers ended the day broadly unchanged with NB (+1bp, N145.01) witnessing a number of decent crosses. There was also a late cross in Mobil (-1.64%, N300.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A decent day in Harare thanks to some action in Delta ($427k) and Econet ($318k).
