Nothing to note in Botswana today.
An absolutely dire day in Nairobi with EABL the only name with some semblance of activity as 552k shares traded in the name. Unfortunately there is nothing else to report with the rest of the market heavy weights being so dead quiet.
A very quiet day in Mauritius with the index rather non-committal. There were no big trades to write home about.
A few crosses in NB ($2.4m) and Nestle ($1.9m) the only names worth mentioning from an activity point of view while the rest of the market was very quiet. Banking stocks closed the day +0.02% higher on tiny volume while consumers closed -0.35% lower thanks to some selling in NB (-1.03%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another strong day on the Harare bourse as the aggressive local buying continues unabated. Today we saw some chunky volumes in the likes of Econet (34.05c) and Seedco (101c).
