An absolutely dire day in Gaborone.
Another rather uneventful day in Nairobi with some activity in Safcom (unch) the only name worth mentioning from an activity point of view as 11.3m shares changed hands in the name. Elsewhere, the other big names were extremely quiet with nothing to report.
Another desperately slow day in Port Louis with all of the big names extremely quiet.
A better day (from an activity point of view) to end the week in Lagos thanks most to a large cross in UBN ($8.4m) while there was also some action in GTB ($1.4m). Banking stocks (+0.18%) closed the day slightly higher thanks to UBN (+4.59%). Consumers closed the day -0.83% lower on very thin volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A slow day to end the week in Harare with nothing much to report.
