A painfully slow start to the week with Safcom (-0.5%) the most active name on the day yet again. There was a small bit of activity in EABL as 251k shares changed hands while the two major banking stocks were dead quiet.
Nothing remarkable to note from the Semdex today. As usual, the lion’s share of trading action went through in MCBG (unch, Rs225.00).
GTB ($2m) saved the market from complete embarrassment on the activity front as the bank was the only name to show any form of life. Banking stocks (+0.31%) managed to closed the day higher thanks to GTB (+1.0%) while consumers (-2.31%) closed lower on tiny volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Absolutely nothing to report from Harare.
