Another decent day in Gaborone as turnover amounted to $2.06m thanks once again to some action in Choppies as 3.25m shares changed hands.
Some chunky foreign action in EABL was the highlight of a fairly active session. The brewer gained 1% to KES313.00. Safcom also saw a mix of local and foreign activity while it closed 1% higher at KES15.50. BATK saw a chunky cross at KES790.00 (local seller, foreign buyer). In the banks we saw KNCB close unchanged at KES49.50 and Equity Bank gain 60bps to KES43.00.
A slightly better day in Port Louis as total value traded amounted to $1.16m with a little bit of activity in SBMH (15.6m shares) and MCBG (44k shares).
Yet another dull day in Lagos with a couple of crosses lighting up the skies. Banks closed 45bps higher with trades mostly focused on GTB (+99bps, N24.49), UBA (-1.96%, N4.00), Zenith (+2.10%, N16.54) and Access (-2.31%, N4.65). Consumers fell by 93bps although the sector still remains fairly dull. There was 1 cross in Nestle (+1.76%, N865.00) and some more mild activity in NB (-4.18%, N126.00). Oando also saw some decent activity from the locals (-81bps, N12.20).
