Nothing much happened in Gaborone today except for some mild interest in Letshego (237t) and FNBB (347t).
Not much on the go in Nairobi to end the week as value traded amounted to $5.2m with foreigners accounting for 63.8% of total turnover. Foreigners dominated proceedings in EQBNK as a total of 2.21m shares traded with the counter falling -2.2%. There was a large foreign cross in EABL of 150k shares while the brewer fell -1.6%. There was some action in Britam with foreigners dominating sales while locals accounted for all of the purchases as 1.78m shares traded. Safcom was very quiet as only 2.34m shares traded.
A quiet end to the week in Port Louis with general softness in the index. The most active stock was Sun Resorts which shed 1.23% to Rs40.00. The only gainer in the Sem-7 was MCBG which rose by 12bps to Rs213.25 while there were losses for NMH (-1.76%, Rs83.50), ENL Land (-20bps, Rs49.90) and Ciel (-1.73%, Rs6.80). Tourist arrivals for June were announced which showed a 9.9% increase from June 2013.
A rather average day to end the week in Lagos as value traded amounted to $23.8m with some crosses in the likes of FBNH ($7.14m), Nestle ($3.19m), Oando ($1.74m) and GTB ($1.60m) the only names worth mentioning. Banks closed the day lower with the Index falling -0.40% with Access (-1.15%) dragging the sector lower. Consumers (+0.18%) managed to close in positive territory with Guinness (+2.50%) being the star performer. There were good performances in some of the cements with Ashaka gaining +5.00% while WAPCO closed +0.92% higher.

A slight improvement in Zimbabwe although volumes still remain quiet. Most of the improvement was due to Econet although foreign participation still remains low while Delta barely registered a trade as only 7k shares changed hands.
