Botswana: DCI unch, USD 286k
Some small activity in FNBB the only name worth reporting on as 1m shares changed hands.
Kenya: NSE 20 +1.10%, USD 7.0m
A solid day in Nairobi on the activity front thanks to crosses in KNCB ($3.6m) and EQBNK ($1.2m) as the two banking giants enjoyed mixed fortunes on the performance front, closing +1.5% higher and -0.8% lower respectively. It was slow going in Safcom as the market digested the telco's FY 2017 results, with a mere $437k worth of stock changing hands.
Mauritius: Semdex +0.30%, USD 1.9m
A very impressive day in Port Louis thanks to a cross in SBMH as 5.2m shares changed hands in the name while there was also some action in ENL Land as 219k shares traded. MCBG reached a new all-time high of Rs234 on 34k shares.
Nigeria: ASI +2.95%, USD 17.9m
A much better day in Lagos as activity was spread across the board for once, with some action in Flour Mills ($2.6m), Zenith ($2.6m), GTB ($2.3m), UBA ($2.1m) and Nestle ($1.5m). Banking stocks surged ahead with the sector closing +4.10% higher thanks to UBA (+7.23%), Zenith (+5.61%) and GTB (+2.36%). Consumers also had a very solid day, gaining +3.56% thanks to Nestle (+5.00%) and Flour Mills (+4.99%).

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.30%, USD 156k
An extremely dull day in Zimbabwe as foreign investors remain on the sidelines. Delta released FY 2017 results after the session which saw EBITDA fall 13% to $112.8m while EPS fell 12% to 5.7c.
