A very solid day from an activity point of view in Nairobi thanks to some action in Safcom ($4.69m) with the telco closing +2.38% higher while there was also some solid action in KNCB ($2.95) as the the banking giant closed +1.27% higher. Elswhere, there was some small activity in EABL ($700k), but nothing worth writing home about.
Another average day on the activity front in Port Louis with some small activity in Sanlam, Alteo and NMH driving proceedings.
A better day in Lagos, but still nothing to get too overly excited about with crosses in the likes of GTB ($5.5m), Stanbic ($2.5m), Access ($2.5m), Zenith ($1.3m) and Nestle ($1m) driving proceedings. Banking stocks closed the day higher with the sector gaining +1.72% thanks to Stanbic (+4.00%), GTB (+3.07%) and Zenith (+1.17%). Consumers (+0.18%) closed slightly higher thanks to Nestle (+2.35%).
