Botswana: DCI +0.08%, USD 484k

Some small activity in letshego (843k shares) and Sefalana (158k shares) the only names worth mentioning.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.30%, USD 6.2m

It was all about Safcom yet again with the telco accounting for approximately 75% of the total market turnover. The name closed down 81bps at KES18.30. The only other name that saw any trading was KNCB which closed unchanged at KES34.00.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.30%, USD 6.9m

A very impressive day in Port Louis as 569k shares changed hands in MCBG while there was also some solid action in Alteo as 1m shares traded. SBMH closed +2.5% higher at a 12-month high of Rs7.30.

Nigeria: ASI -0.03%, USD 5.2m

Another pathetic day in Lagos. The banks dipped lower by 61bps on the lack of interest while the consumers ticked marginally higher. The only decent activity were crosses in Glaxosmithkline (+3.57%, N35.00) and Flourmills (+6bps, N18.00).
