Nothing to report.
A rather uneventful end to the week in Kenya. There was a decent cross in EqBnk (local seller, foreign buyer) with the bank closing at KES35.00 (+2.2%). EABL also saw some nice crossing and closed unchanged at KES231.00. Safcom inched higher by 30bps to KES18.65.
The bulk of today’s action took place on the MCB Group notes on the debt board. Outside of this the market was extremely quiet.
The week ended the same way it has been for weeks and months on end. There is clearly no interest in the market and there were no large crosses or trades to note.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some small activity in Seedco ($257k) the only name worth mentioning on a slow day in Harare.
