Another quiet day in Gaborone.
A very impressive day in Nairobi to end the week ahead of the Easter break thanks once again to Safcom ($14.4m) as 76.3m shares changed hands with the telco closing +0.77% higher. Elsewhere there was some small activity in BATK ($829k) and KNCB ($792k).
A solid day in Port Louis thanks to a large cross in CIM as 3.5m shares changed hands while there was also some decent action in MCBG (54k shares) and SBMH (1.3m shares).
A better day in Lagos, but still nothing to write home about with Zenith ($1.4m) and GTB ($1.3m) the only names worth mentioning on the activity front. Banking stocks (-0.08%) closed the day slightly lower thanks to GTB (-0.68%) while consumers fell -0.12% on tiny volume. Inflation for March slowed to 17.26% from 17.78% in February.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing to report from Harare on the activity front. Delta released their Q4 and FY 2017 trading update today which saw revenues down -15% for the quarter and -10% for the year.
