Not the worst end to the week in Gaborone thanks to a cross in letshego as 2.1m shares changed hands.
A rather slow day to close off the week in Nairobi with some action in EABL ($1.6m) the only name worth mentioning as the brewer accounted for over half of today's turnover. Elsewhere, the market was quiet with nothing worth reporting on.
A slow day to end the week in Port Louis with some small activity in MCBG (24k shares) and SBMH (668k shares).
The lack of interest in Lagos is palpable as turnover continues to dissapoint with not a single name breaking the $1m mark yet again. Both banking stocks (-0.72%) and consumer stocks (-1.13%) closed the day lower on tiny volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another dull day in Harare with some small activity in Delta ($240k) the only name worth mentioning. Econet announced that their rights issue was 74.6% subscribed.
