The main highlight of the session today was a large local cross in Choppies (305t) while there was some small activity in Sechaba (2950t) and BIHL (1732t).
An extremely quiet day in Kenya. In fact, if it wasn’t for Equity Bank (unch, KES30.75) the market would have been practically non-existent as the banking group accounted for more than 60% of the meagre turnover.
Things slowed down in Port Louis today with most of the big names extremely quiet and nothing worth mentioning.
Another pathetic day in Lagos as nothing at all happened yet again. The lack of interest was evident as both banks (-71bps) and consumers (-24bps) fell due to a lack of demand.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A very active day in Harare thanks to crosses in the likes of Econet ($1.4m), Delta ($707k) and FBCH ($445k). Delta (-4.46%) continued to come under pressure after last week’s cautionary statement.
