Botswana: Data not available at time of writing.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.77%, USD 3.2m

Another slow start to the week in Nairobi with a cross in KNCB (+0.9%) saving the market from total embarrassment as 5.7m shares changed hands in the name. The other market heavyweights were unfortunately dead quiet.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.48%, USD 320k

A very slow start to the week in Port Louis with nothing to report.

Nigeria: ASI -0.27%, USD 5.9m

Nestle ($2.7m) saved the day from an activity point of view as the market heavyweight was the only name to break the $1m turnover mark, after releasing Q3 2016 last friday after the session. Banking stocks came under some pressure (on tiny volume) with the sector closing -0.94% lower while consumer stocks closed +0.10% higher with Nestle gaining +0.51%.

Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.30%, USD 923k

The ZSE pullback was short-lived as the rally resumed today. Activity was rather subdued with Delta (73c) ticking marginally higher.
