Some solid action in Letshego helped boost activity today as 5m shares changed hands while there was also some small activity in FNBB as 880k shares traded.
Activity continued to decline in Nairobi today as Safcom accounted for more than half of total value traded as 8.9m shares traded in the telco. The rest of the big names were unfortunately woefully quiet.
A better day in Port Louis thanks to crosses in MCBG (40k shares), LUX (108k shares) and SBMH (727k shares) while the rest of the market was very quiet.
Much of the same in Lagos with Unilever ($2.1m) the only name to break the $1m turnover mark while the rest of the market was dreadful. Banking stocks closed the day slightly higher with the sector gaining +0.14% while consumer stocks managed to close +0.51% higher. FBNH closed the day unchanged after reporting Q3 2016 numbers.

Things slowed down dramatically in Harare with no names worth mentioning.
