A quiet end to a quiet week. The lion’s share of the action went through in Safcom (+90bps, KES17.10) with some really aggressive buyers pushing the market higher. There was also some action in KNCB (unch, KES42.75) while EABL (-40bps, KES270) also saw a couple of crosses go through. The rest of the market was uneventful.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.04%, USD 530k

A quiet end to the week. The bulk of the action took place in the banks with MCB slipping by 10bps to Rs208.75 while SBMH closed unchanged at Rs0.65

Nigeria: ASI -0.11%, USD 13.9m

Some crosses spiced up proceedings for the first time in a long while in Lagos. The highlight being a large cross in UBA (local buyer, foreign seller). Banks ended the day up 117bps with GTB (+1.12%, N15.37) also seeing some decent volumes. The consumers fell by 1.30% with NB (-1.37%, N106) dragging down the sector. There were also a couple of decent crosses in Dangcem (+45bps, N160.97).

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.04%, USD 949k

The bulk of today’s action was cross in NatFoods at 209.75c. There was also some small action in Econet (25.55c) while the rest of the market was quiet.
