Choppies dominated the action on the day accounting for 97% of turnover.

Kenya: NSE20 +0.06, USD 8.2m

Turnover was up 10.5% from the previous day, with SAFCOM (-1.1%), NIC (-1.5%) and EABL (0.7%) the most active names on the day. Foreign participation on the day was down to 35.7% from 67.8%.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.12, USD 930k

An above average way to end the week in Port Louis today seeing MCBG reach a high (-0.4%, Rs267.00) once again leading and total volume in the stock amounting to 30.9k. SBMH(-1.1%), Rs7.67) had a good day after starting the week on a slight low. MUA(+0.9%, Rs58.00) continued to climb and ended the week on an all time high of 70.9k shares traded.

Nigeria: ASI +0.78%, USD 17.3m

The market closed the week on a positive note with all indices up bar the Banks (-0.04%). Zenith (-0.79%) was the most active name on the day accounting for over a third of turnover as there was a cross of 50m shares in the name.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +1.79%, USD 734k

A better day to end the week in Harare, the major action was done in PPC ($464). The index was up a notable 1.79% buoyed by Dawn (7%) and Econet (5%).
