Another impressive day in Gaborone today with increased volumes exchanging hands. 90% of the day’s turnover was accounted for by Sechaba ($3.4m) which saw 1.73m shares at 200t.
Safaricom (-2.02%, $3.35m) once again leading the way on the Nairobi stock exchange followed by the likes of KCB (-1.10%, $1.96m) and Equity (-1.13%, $1.46m). Even though almost the whole board flashed red, foreign selling continued dominating the bourse amounting to 64.9% of total market sales and 42.9% of market purchases.
The market ended the day marginally higher with the Semdex up 0.26% and the Sem-10 up 0.15%. There was a cross of 2.13m shares in New Frontier Properties ($3.5m). MCBG remained level at Rs268 while SBM edged up +0.8% to close at Rs7.86.
Red flashed across almost the whole board today on the Nigeria stock exchange, NB (-2.63%, N185.00) traded almost a third of the market helped by the likes of GTB (-4.68%, N37.10), Nestle (+0.99%, N1,220.00) and ZB (-3.27%, N22.50) all helping the bourses daily turnover.

The major action today went through in TOL Gases (TZS800) accounting for 40% of the market. Vodacom (TZS900) traded on small volumes throughout the day.
Some small activity in Seedco ($90k), NMB ($52) and NAMPAK ($19k) the only names worth mentioning after the long weekend in Harare.
