Equity (+2.92%, KES44.00) leading the way on the Nairobi bourse today with almost a third of the market amounting to $2.64m. Other counters worth noting were Safcom (+2.04%, KES25.00) and Kenol (+0.93%, KES16.30). Once again foreign investors out played the locals with 81% of the market sales.
A quiet start to the week in Mauritius with some activity in CIEL and SBMH the only names worth mentioning.
Once again it was all about the banks with foreign buying (and local selling) in the Tier 1 names most evident. The sector lost 0.28% with Access (+0.38%, N10.49), Zenith (-1.05%, N23.50) and GTB (-0.25%, N39.50) seeing some decent crossing. The consumers inched slightly higher albeit on small volumes.
