Nothing to report from Gaborone as turnover amounted to $52k.
Activity continued to fall with turnover amounting to $5.7m as foreigners dominated proceedings (62.8%). Safcom (-0.9%) came under some pressure on the back of foreign selling as 11.98m shares traded in the telco. The banking heavyweights ended mixed as EQBNK fell -1.0% on foreign selling while KNCB gained +0.8% on foreign buying. Locals dominated proceedings in the usually illiquid Diamond Trust Bank as 123k shares traded.
A slow start to the week in Port Louis as turnover fell to $740k with some activity in CIEL (585k shares), NMH (59k shares) and SUN (88k shares) while market heavyweights MCBG and SBMH were very quiet.
An exceptionally dull start to the week in Lagos as turnver amounted to a dire $9.1m with a small bit of activity in GTB ($1.44m) and Access ($984k) the only names worth mentioning. Banks came under pressure with the sector falling -4.78% as things were exaggerated by Zenith (-8.74%) which was marked down for a dividened. There was however also some weakness in ETI (-4.95%), UBA (-4.84%) and GTB (-4.00%). Consumers (-2.23%) were also very weak thanks to NB (-5.00%) and Dangote Sugar (-4.92%).
