Another relatively solid day thanks once again to Letshego (3m shares) as total value traded amounted to USD 916k.
A rather slow day to end the week in Nairobi as turnover anoumted to $5.5m with foreigners (58.7%) dominating activity for a change. There was some local demand in EQBNK as the counter managed to gain +2% on 1.11m shares. Safcom (-0.9%) came under pressure as both locals and foreigners were sellers in the telco. Foreigners dominated proceedings in EABL as 193k shares changed hands in the brewer.
An active end to the week in Port Louis with chunky action in MCBG (+23bps, Rs213.50). Elsewhere in the Sem-10 there were movements in Alteo (-27bps, Rs37.40), Gamma Civic (-1.12%, Rs48.50), Ciel (+56bps, Rs7.20), Terra (+28bps, Rs36.40) and BBCL (+59bps, Rs6.80).
A large cross of 10m shares in DangCem got the market off to a flyer early on as turnover amounted to $31m. There was also some crosses in the likes of Zenith ($3.86m), GTB ($2.23m) and Oando ($1.19m). Banks closed the day lower with the Index falling -0.17% as GTB (-1.28%), Access (-0.88%) and Zenith (-0.78%) dragged the sector lower. Consumers (-0.53%) also closed the day lower thanks to Guinness (-4.18%) and PZ Cussons (-3.31%).

It was an active day to end the week in Harare as turnover amounted to a very pleasing USD 1.56m thanks to Econet ($820k) and Delta ($236k). The market closed the day lower with the Industrial Index falling -0.36%.
