A reasonable day in Gaborone with some activity in Engen (1000t), BIHL (1137t) and Turnstar (201t).
Activity dropped off in Harare today as turnover amounted to $7.5m with foreigners accounting for 58.7% of turnover. Foreigners dominated proceedings in KNCB as the name fell -0.9% on 2.93m shares. Local demand in EQBNK managed to drive the counter +2.5% higher as 2.58m shares traded. There was some foreign activity in EABL as 356k shares traded in the brewer. Not much on the go in Safcom as 5.6m shares traded.
A rather pleasing day in terms of activity in Port Louis. NMH was the most active stock for a change (unch, Rs87.50) while MCBG and SBMH closed unchanged at Rs212.00 and Rs1.04 respectively.
An extremely active day in Lagos as turnover amounted to an impressive $46.6m. There were some large crosses in the likes of Zenith ($10.05m), ETI ($8.48m), FBNH ($6.25m), NB ($3.89m) and GTB ($2.93m). Banks continued to come under pressure with the Index falling -3.56%, weighed down by the likes of UBA (-4.83%), Zenith (-4.62%) and GTB (-3.55%). Consumers (-0.06%) closed slightly lower with UACN (-5.00%) and Cadbury (-5.00%) dragging the sector lower. Cements also closed lower with WAPCO (-5.00%) and DangCem (-2.25%) coming under pressure.

Another dull day in Harare. Nothing much took place with the most action taking place in Econet with a foreign cross taking place at 77.9c.
