A much better day in Gaborone thanks to a cross in Letshego (4.71m shares) as turnover amounted to $1.71m.
A much slower day in Nairobi although value traded still amounted to a very respectable $9.9m as activity was pretty evenly split between locals and foreigners. Foreign buying interest pushed Safcom +1.1% as 24.43m shares traded in the telco. Local selling pressure pushed EABL -7.3% lower as 657k shares traded in the brewer thanks to an early cross. Local demand drove KNCB +1.0% higher while EQBNK closed the day unchanged.
A very solid day from an activity point of view to end the week in Port Louis as turnover amounted to $2.61m with some activity MCBG (162k shares), NMH (164k shares) and SBMH (6m shares).
An absolutely mammoth day in Lagos as turnover amounted to $164m thanks to a cross of 3.53bn shares in UBN with AMCON being the seller while Atlas Mara was the buyer. The rest of the market was rather quiet with some action in Seplat ($3.06m), FBNH ($2.49m) and Flour Mills ($2.02m). It was good to see buyers in the market again today as the Bank Index gained an impressive +5.19% thanks to UBA (+10.20%), Access (+10.00%) and Zenith (+6.18%) while the rest of the sector was also very strong. Consumers (+2.07%) also continued to rally thanks to NB (+5.00%), Guinness (+5.00%) and Dnagote Sugar (+5.00%). Cements were also strong with DangCem and WAPCO gaining +4.58% and 4.99% respectively.

Another slow day in Harare as turnover amounted to $686k with some action in Econet ($436k) and Delta ($199k) while the market closed the day lower with the Index falling -0.65%.
