Things slowed down in Gaborone, but it was still rather aactive as turnover amounted to $2.29m thanks to Sefalana (801k shares) and BIHL (708k shares).
A solid day from an activity point of view in Nairobi as turnover amounted to $10..3m as locals dominated proceedings. Local action in Centum boosted activity as 5.38m shares traded with the counter gaining +0.8% ahead of FY 2015 results due out soon. KNCB ended the day unchanged on 5.35m shares as locals dominated both sides of the counter. Safcom came under pressure as the telco fell -2.2% on foreign selling. EABL closed the day -0.3% lower on 132k while EQBNK managed to gain +1.1%.
A decent day in Port Louis as turnover amounted to $2.31m with SBMH (44.61m shares) and MCBG (133k shares) completely dominating proceedings as both banking giants closed lower with SBMH falling -1.1% while MCBG fell -0.2%.
A better day in Lagos but still nothing to write home about as turnover amounted to $18.5m with some action in Nestle ($2.20m), GTB ($2.05m), NB ($2.02m), UBA ($1.94m), Access ($1.91m) and Zenith ($1.48m). Banks managed to close in positive territory with the sector gaining +0.37% thanks to gains in UBA (+3.08%) and FBNH (+2.22%). Consumers (-0.46%) closed lower with Dangote Flour (-1.53%) and NB (-1.30%) dragging the sector lower.

Some activity returned to the Harare bourse although the large cap names continue to weaken through lack of interest. The bulk of the action took place in Delta (105c) and Econet (46c) while outside of these two names there was nothing of note to report.
