A very dull session in Gaborone with nothing to report.
Another slow start to the week in Nairobi as foreigners dominated what little activity there was. Safcom was the most active stock on the day as the telco fell -1.2% on foreign selling with 5.7m shares changing hands. Both major banking stocks closed the day unchanged on rather low volume while there was next to nothing on the go in EABL. KNCB is set to release Q3 2016 numbers tomorrow.
A solid start to the week in Port Louis thanks to some action in MCBG as 113k shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market was rather quiet.
Another absolutely atrocious day in Lagos as interest remains at all-time lows. The apathetic nature once again dragged the index down as we saw both the banks (-1.45%) and consumers (-14bps) end the session lower. The only real action took place in some late crossing in GTB (-3.15%, N21.86).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some small activity in Axia ($126k) and Delta ($112k) the only names worth mentioning on a slow day in Harare.
