Some small activity in BIHL the only name worth mentioning as 206k shares traded.
An extremely dull session in Kenya. In fact, foreign crossing in Safcom (unch, KES20.00) accounted for more than 70% of the total market turnover which shows just how dire general trading was. No other names traded anything significant.
A very impressive start to the week in Port Louis from an activity point of view thanks (as per usual) to MCBG as 187k shares changed hands in the name while there was also a bit of activity in SBMH (1.6m shares).
A quiet start to what we expect to be a quiet week in Lagos. Once again the lack of interest meant that the index just dripped steadily lower. Both the banks (-21bps) and consumers (-10bps) ended the day lower. Activity was once again muted with only really 1 cross in NB (unch, N141.01) moving the needle. On the economic front, third quarter GDP contracted by -2.24% y/y.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A decent start to the week in Harare thanks to some action in Nicoz ($673k) and BAT ($200k) while the rest of the market was rather quiet.
