NSE All share index went down -3.4% , USD15.92m

Action on the Kenyan bourse today just after the Supreme Court ruled that the presidential election had some irregularities and were not conducted fairly and that fresh elections should be carried out in 60 days. Almost all stock closed in the red seeing Safcom (USD 10.64m) trading up and down through out the trading day to close -2.94% lower with most of the trades being crosses. Equity Bank (USD 2.03m) was down -8.57% with most trades going through at the end o the trading session. EABL dipped -3.85% with a total turnover of USD 1.14m. Foreign investors accounted for 89.1% of the total market turnover sales.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.17%, USD 1.83m

MCBG (unch, Rs270.00) once again leading the way on the Mauritius stock exchange contributing to more than 50% of market turnover. SBMH (+0.5%, Rs7.86), NMH (-0.07%, Rs22.65) and Terra (-1.6%%, Rs31.50) the only other stocks worth mentioning.

Tanzania: Closed for the day.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +2.96%, USD 1.26m

The Harare bourse closed off the week with Econet (50.00c, $1m) being 83% of total market turnover and Zimre (165.00c, $132k) the only two name worth mentioning.
