A very dull day in Nairobi as activity remains incredibly muted. The major action went through in Safcom (unch, KES25.75). The rest of the market was quiet as foreigners were net sellers.
Not the best way to start the week in Mauritius with trivial Rs21.4k changing hands on the bourse. The little activity that happened was spread out between a few counters with Lux (+5.0%, Rs62.50) leading the way followed by MCB (+1.3%, Rs281.00), SBM (+1.0%, Rs7.90), IBL (unch, Rs44.75) and Alteo (-1.3%, Rs31.60) contributing to the index movement.
Things slowed down rather drastically on the Nigerian stock exchange today starting the week with some small activity in Nestle (-5.00%, $3.5m), Guaranty (-0.10, $646k), NB (-1.76%, $567k) and Wapco (-2.87%, $531k )the only names worth mentioning. Banking stocks failing to impress with the sector closing at -0.48% lower the same in consumers -0.78%.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
