A solid day in Gaborone thanks to some action in Turnstar ($700k) and Choppies ($313k)which accounted for 98% of turnover.
Foreign selling of large cap stocks dominated the market in Nairobi today. Equity (-3.1%, KES38.75), EABL (-1.6%, KES246.00) and CFCB (-2.5%, KES78.00) led the way in terms of turnover. There was low activity in Safcom (+3.1%,KES24.75).
The session in Port Louis was marked with a massive book-over of Braw notes totalling to over 95% of total market turnover. SBM (unch, Rs7.84), CIM (+0.02%, Rs9.22) and POLICY (-0.9%, Rs6.52) the only other names worth mentioning in Mauritius today.
A short trading day as the bourse opened late due to a technical glitch. There was some decent activity on the first trading day of the week after the long weekend with some action in NB(+0.04%, $3.02m), NESTLE(unch, $1.77m), ACCESS(+2.38%, $1.68m), STANBIC(+0.65%, 1.38m) and DANGCEM(unch, $1.18m). Both banking stocks (-0.06%) and consumer stocks (-0.30%) closed the day lower.

The main market mover on the bourse was TBL (TZS13,300) with 21k shares changing hands. Other counters noting are CRDB (TZS200), DSE (TZS1,500) Vodacom (TZS900) and Swiss (TZS3,820) with foreign buying interest being 84% of the market up by more than 160% day on day.
Another decent day in Harare today with all the heavy weights, Delta, Econet, SeedCo and Old Mutual closing in the green. Econet ($1.1m) accounted for 65% of turnover as 2m shares changed hands in the name. Bindura was up 19% driving the mining index up.
