There was some activity in G4S as 500k shares traded while the rest of the market was dead quiet.
A dull start to the week in Nairobi after the long weekend due to the Eid celebrations with some actvity in Safcom (unch) and EQBNK (-1.0%) as 8m shares and 3.2m shares changed hands in the names respectively. According to Bloomberg, the Central Bank of Kenya officially stated that the base rate to be used for interest rate capping will be the CBR (10.5%).
Apart from some small action in MCBG (54k shares) the market was very dull in Port Louis. Monthly toursit arrivals for August 2016 were up +6.1% from a year earlier.
Another dull day in Harare with some tiny activity in Delta ($154k) the only name worth mentioning.
