Nothing to report from Gaborone.
A rather uneventful day in Nairobi today. Action was evenly split between 3 of the Big 4 names. Equity Bank fell by 1.9% to KES25.50 while KNCB closed unchanged at KES27.50. Safcom was also weak as it shed 50bps to KES18.90.
It was the usual suspect MCBG that tried to get things going again in Port Louis as 54k shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market remains quiet.
Another underwhelming day in Lagos. No real conviction in both volumes and direction. Banks slipped by 65bps although outside of some nice crosses in GTB (unch, N27.00) the sector was deathly quiet. Consumers inched marginally higher although volumes were quiet in the sector (again).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A better day in Harare, but still nothing to write home about, with Econet ($356k) the only name worth mentioning.
