Nothing to report from Gaborone after yesterday's excitement.
Activity ran into a solid brick wall after yesterday’s fireworks. Foreign participation was also much reduced in the absence of the large crosses. There was nothing of note to write home about.
A solid end to the week from an activity point of view thanks to some decent action in SBMH and MCBG as 25.5m shares and 53k shares changed hands in the names respectively.
A quiet end to yet another dull week as the market still has no clear direction. Banks slipped by 1.27% although volumes in the sector were extremely low. Likewise the consumers were also extremely quiet as the sector rose by 52bps.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Not the worst end to the week (from an activity point of view) compared to what we have become accustomed to of late thanks to some activity in Innscor ($483k) after the company relased FY 2016 results on Wednesday evening.
