Another underwhelming day in Gaborone with some tiny activity in Letshego the only name worth mentioning as 143k shares traded.
Safcom continues its massive run thanks to some aggressive foreign buying. The telco closed the day up a further 3.1% at KES20.00 after touching yet another all-time high of KES21.00. Safcom also accounted for well over half the total market turnover. The only other name that saw any decent action was EABL which closed down 30bps at KES286.00.
Another very active day in Port Louis thanks once again to MCBG and SBMH as 151k shares and 14m shares changed hands in the names respectively while the rest of the market was relatively quiet.
Another rather quiet day today. Both banks (-13bps) and consumers (-88bps) closed the day in the red. Activity was focused, as always, in just a couple of names with action seen today in the likes of Zenith Bank (+54bps, N16.80), Wapco (-4.99%, N53.07) and Dangcem (+1.67%, N183.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another woeful day in Harare.
