Some action in Letshego tried to boost activity in the market as 792k shares changed hands in the name, unfortunately there was nothing else to report.
A better day in Nairobi thanks to some action in EQBNK and Safcom as 4.9m shares and 6.3m shares changed hands in the names respectively. Safcom's recent run continued today as the teclo gained a further +3.7% on the back of foreign demand. The two major banking stocks ended the day mixed with EQBNK gaining +0.7% while KNCB closed unchanged on small volumes. Not much on the go in EABL (unch) as 264k shares traded in the brewer.
A sub-par day from an activity point of view after the long weekend in Port Louis with MCBG driving proceedings as 110k shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market was very quiet.
Another extremely dull day in Lagos with the only highlight being a decent cross in Zenith ($3.1m) while activity across the rest of the market was near non existent. Banking stocks had a slightly better day with the sector gaining +0.90% thanks to positive moves in GTB (+1.78%) and Zenith (+1.67%). Consumers closed the day +0.37% higher on dire volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A slightly better day in Harare, but still nothing to write home about with some small activity in Econet ($339k) the only name worth mentioning.
