A better day in Gaborone thanks to some action in Sefalana and FNBB as 351k shares and 851k shares changed hands in the names respectively.
Tumbleweed blew through the Kenyan market today as absolutely nothing happened. The most action went through in Safcom (+80bps, KES19.90) and KNCB (unch, KES32.50).
MCBG was the only name to show some form of activity on a rather muted day in Port Louis as 63k shares changed hands in the banking heavyweight.
A rather chunky cross in GTB (+1.21%, N24.29) was the highlight on an excruciatingly quiet day. Outside of that large GTB cross volumes barely reached $4m which shows just how disinterested parties are in the Nigerian bourse. Banks did creep up by 79bps mostly thanks to GTB. Consumers also inched higher by 70bps although volumes were dead in the sector.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some small activity in Seedco ($270k) and Simbisa ($200k) the only names worth mentioning after the long weekend in Harare.
